Best one so far... May 28, 2010 "just one opinion" (rochester, ny) Fits my 2 lb special-needs male chihuahua better than any other diaper I've tried. He can wiggle out of the diaper if he tries (he's SO small) but it works well for holding him in my lap without a towel underneath, or for going out in public when I don't want to worry about an accident.
Doggy diapers...YES! May 20, 2010 Christopher L. Zamor I am a repeat buyer of this product. They work very well and all you need to use are maxi-pads from the lady in your life instead of buying specially priced "dog maxi-pads". Product is inexpensive and washable. Very good for a female dog in season.
Good product for female dogs but not good for males. April 16, 2010 Charlene Feliciano (New York, NY USA) Great for females. I purchased this for my male 70lbs dog & it didn't work that well with his anatomy. I recomend the wrap design the same company makes. Also don't buy the liners you can get a better deal & better liner using the brand Depends for human male incontinence pads. The pads are more absobant, cheaper and work better for large dogs that urinate more.
A Life Saver March 22, 2010 LadyBird I just ordered my fourth one of these diapers. I have a dog who has a malignant tumor in her urethra - this caused her to lose her "early warning system" when she has to pee, and she just isn't making it to the door anymore. She also needs to pee pretty frequently. For a couple of months we were running around after her - jumping up the moment she jumped up to try to get her out the door. I was so hesitant to go the diaper route. A big black lab wearing a diaper just seemed odd. I was so wrong. Life is simpler now. We see her assume the position and pee right into the diaper (which we attach a Poise pad to). We just let her go ahead and pee. No more frantic runs to try to get her out the door, no more concerns in the car. Even if she has a bowel movement - it isn't too bad - the diaper seems to have a bit of room in the bottom of it that it sort of falls down and doesn't smash up against her hair. Sometimes a bit will get on the diaper - so I have to wash it, but it's not bad. Also, if she is lying in her bed and pees, it will not all go into the Poise pad. It will go out the side and get the diaper wet - so again - I have to wash the diaper. I have some weewee pads in her bed, so that captures the pee that leaks out. It's all good - much much much easier than it was before the diaper. Size is important - my dog is about 55lbs. I had originally ordered an XL for her, and it can slip down and become positioned incorrectly. The LARGEs I have ordered fit much better - nice and snug, no slipping.
Pooch Pants February 25, 2010 MVK (Silver Spring, Maryland USA) I have two dogs - both the same size and breed. They worked great on one dog. The second dog was unable to adjust to walking around in them and just kept falling down. If your dog can adapt to the fit - they do a good job. I use thin regular maxi-pads - not the ones sold for dogs. They fit the pooch pants just fine.
