Dog in heat, male marking?? No problem!! February 16, 2010 Ann L. Hine I have a female in her first heat, and a male who will not leave her alone. The wrap works wonderfully, and I coupled it with prissy pants for her.. Best purchase in the world.. I just wish the wrap didn't scrunch as much, but I haven't found a better one out there.. They can finally play together when I am around, and they are happy..
Needs and outer shell that is not denim January 9, 2010 mormon taco (Idaho) I have an 85 pound male dog that has no movement in his back legs. So when he wants to change his position he drags his back end around. Because this male wrap product is made of denim it catches on the bedding material the dog is laying on. This means the wrap and absorbent pad used to catch his urine usually slide right off his wanker after a few movements resulting in a wet bed. An outer layer that was made of a slicker material would help. In addition, a total package that has less cotton-based materials would be nice because these things take FOREVER to air dry once they are wet and they develop a stink all their own unless you wash them often. Other comments already address the insufficient size of the removable absorbent padding. I opted to use old cloth diapers inside the wrap. The good points of this product are the large velcro tabs and very stretchy elastic sides. It is easy to put on and stays on. An excellent alternative male wrap that addresses many of the above problems is available at [...]. They are a few dollars more and don't look as fancy but are worth it.
Might be better things out there October 21, 2009 Oxford Comma (Moorpark, CA, USA) This band is elastic on the sides, so it's stretchy, which I didn't realize when I bought it. I got a medium and it's too large for my 16-lb pug. It bunches up around his tummy and looks like a skirt. It does the job I guess, but it's not comfortable for him and he can slip out of it pretty easily.

We set up play dates with a visiting male dog (maltese) and he marks everything our female has been. Both are "fixed". This solved the problem completely. My only problem was the size. We bought a small and I think a medium would have been better. Paula
Does the trick September 13, 2009 Erniesma (Wash, D.C.) My dog hates this (and every other) diaper. But if he'd learn not to pee inside, it wouldn't be a problem. For the most part, this diaper succeeds in REMINDING him that he doesn't want to go in the house. (He's not old or infirm, just stubborn.) And if he forgets, the rug is saved. If you get one, you need two, so you can put the second on while the first is in the wash. This wrap diaper does affect his gait in some way that he struggles to get up the stairs when it's on. He's only about 22 lbs. and wears the medium. We put a woman's pad inside.
