Works on more smells than just Cats! June 10, 2010 Vintage Ma'am 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My mother-in-law lived with us for 13 years. When she passed away a year ago, our male cat, Max, went into mourning (he was her lap cat), and started wetting in several areas in her room. Using a black light we realized just how extensive the damage he had done was, and decided to just replace the carpet (it was quite old anyway). But before the carpet was laid, we saturated the worst areas with Anti Icky Poo, and then sprayed Feliway on all the furniture that might still carry the scent of grandma. We have had no problems since and are very happy! Now I am guardian for my mother who is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's disease. She is incontinent, and even though they use disposable under garments on her, there is a constant smell of urine in her clothing, especially her slacks. I wash all of her clothes and was going crazy trying everything I could think of to get the smell out of them. Then one day I decided to spray Anti Icky Poo on the crotch area of her slacks after they came out of the dryer, and was amazed - the smell was gone!! Now I take my bottle with me when I visit her and spray her clothes hamper, bathroom and sheets as well. She has the best smelling room now - what a difference it has made! I am delighted with this product and will always keep in my oder killing line of defense!!

Most Effective Odor Remover on the Market June 1, 2010 Tiffany (Oxford, MS, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used Anti-Icky Poo for cat cleanup for many years and find it to be the best enzymatic product available anywhere. I am very sensitive to cat urine odor and in my experience, Anti-Icky Poo is the only product that works to completely eliminate the odor. It baffles me that pet stores carry other odor removers that are essentially worthless in comparison. Apparently, it's different in that it works to break down the gases produced by the urine, which eliminates the odor. However it works, it is unparalleled in effectiveness. It works fast and can be used on all kinds of surfaces -- fabric, carpet, cushions, tile, wood, etc. The scented product has a strong fragrance initially, but it dissipates quickly (although I don't mind the fragrance at all). Anti-Icky Poo is just a terrific product.
Really really works May 20, 2010 G.S.R (Santa Clara, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I started treating the spot that our cats sprayed on with Natures Miracle which was absolutely useless. THen we went the peroxide and soap route. Nothing worked. We drenched the whole area in P bath and then AIP and now we can atleast use the room without the incessant need to throw up or run to an open window. You need patience to do the whole process involved and the P bath step is very important.
I was skeptical, but it really does work! February 15, 2010 S. Jimenez 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We have a crazy cat who suddenly decided to start peeing on the couch because we didn't let her out when she wanted to go out one day... Anyways, there was no good way to get out the smell (I could wash the cover, but not the foam inside) so I decided to buy this based on the positive reviews. It worked wonderfully. I sprayed the cover and let it sit before washing it (I washed it because I figured a double dose of cleaning couldn't hurt!), then soaked the foam in spray. After the spray dried there was no hint of cat pee smell. (The microsuede cover didn't have any discoloring or staining from the spray either.) There was also a fleece sweatshirt on the couch during the pee incident. I washed it once normally (thinking detergent would be enough) but it still reeked; however, after a good spray of Icky-poo the smell was gone. A note for people sensitive to chemicals: the spray itself does have a strong smell (not a bad smell really, just strong) but the smell goes away after it dries. Overall, I can't recommend this enough if you have cat pee problems!
